What type of golf course do you like to play on are you a “Links Lover” or would you prefer the “Pines” and the heather of The Berkshire or Sunningdale?
What does your club offer that other clubs do not?
With more and more golf clubs suffering from the car park golfer, what makes you go into the clubhouse and spend monet over the bar?
December 3rd, 2006 at 5:55 am I can’t comment on courses ’cause we all have our own opinions on what a course should offer. However sadly many clubhouses, especially the owner type are adopting the national bus companies attitude, which is reduce passengers then put the prices up. There is nothing worst than the club that puts the price of a pint up and even a cup of tea because their numbers are dropping. What happens, fewer golfers go into the clubhouse and yes you will get the carpark golfers. Golf clubs do have to make money but please stop and think how you can attract extra business, certainly not by extortionate prices!
